External transmission and third-party services

Estaluna ("we", "us") uses services provided by third parties to operate our website and to provide the Estaluna AI answering service. We publish the details below as the disclosure regarding external transmission required under Japan's Telecommunications Business Act, and as a supplement to our Privacy Policy.

This English text is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Information sent from your device when you browse our website

When you view pages under https://estaluna.ai/ or in the console at https://app.estaluna.ai/, the following information is sent from your device to the recipients below.

Recipient: Google LLC (Google Analytics)

Information sent: the URL of the page viewed, the referring URL, browser and device type, screen size, approximate region, IP address, identifiers set by cookies, and interactions on the site such as button and link clicks, how far down the page you scrolled, and how long each part of the page was displayed

Purpose: understanding how the website is used, and improving its content and usability

How to stop it: refuse cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google.

Use of Google Signals (Advertising Features): we have enabled Google Signals in Google Analytics. For visitors who are signed in to Google and have allowed ad personalisation, this lets us view Google's estimated age, gender and interest categories in aggregated, statistical form. This feature combines first-party cookies set by our site with third-party cookies set by Google for advertising. We do not receive any information that identifies an individual.

How to stop this feature: turn off ad personalisation in your Google account's ad settings and you will be excluded from these estimates. The cookie refusal and opt-out add-on described above also remain effective.

Recipient: PostHog, Inc. (console usage analytics)

Where it applies: the console at https://app.estaluna.ai/ only. We do not use it on our website at estaluna.ai.

Information sent: the path of the screen viewed, the text of buttons and headings you click, browser and device type, approximate region, IP address, identifiers set by cookies, an identifier for your company (a random string, not a name, email address or phone number), and your plan and region category

Information we do not send: names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, call content, summaries or transcripts, and anything you type into a search box. Phone numbers and call IDs that appear in the path of contact and call screens are masked, and URL parameters other than the few we need for analysis are removed, before the address is sent.

Purpose: understanding how the console is used, and finding and fixing places where setup gets stuck

About screen recording: to find where setup gets stuck, we may record on-screen interaction only on screens that show no call information, such as sign-up, login and pricing. We do not record on screens that show your data or a caller's data, including call history, call detail, contacts, reservations and settings.

How to stop it: refuse cookies in your browser settings.

We do not use advertising or retargeting tags on our website.

2. Third-party services we use to provide the service

The services below do not receive data directly from your device. They are external cloud services we engage in order to provide the service. We publish them for transparency, because call recording, transcription and summarisation are processed through them.

The name and email address of the customer's representative and information required for payment (card numbers are collected directly by Stripe; we do not hold them)

Cloudflare (content delivery and security)

Source IP address and request details

Resend (email delivery)

Recipient email address, message content, and records of opens and link clicks for email we send (open tracking applies only to certain messages, such as the welcome email sent right after sign-up — see section 7 of the privacy policy)

Some of these providers are located outside Japan. Before using them, we confirm that they have established the framework necessary to take, on an ongoing basis, measures equivalent to those required of a personal information handling business operator in Japan. See Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Call recording and AI processing

When you call a company that uses our AI answering service, the call is recorded and AI generates a transcript and a summary. The third-party services listed in Section 2 are used for this processing.
